“Everything perfect – great trip and great price

Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Karibu Tanzania! At 8:00 AM, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, and your 5-day Tanzania safari begins. The drive takes you 120 km to Tarangire National Park — a true paradise for wildlife lovers, spanning an area of 2,850 km².

This park is the land of giants! Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and the majestic, ancient baobab trees that dominate the landscape. The park is also home to lions, leopards, buffalo, zebras, oryx antelopes, impalas, and over 450 bird species. Upon arrival, you'll head straight into an exciting game drive. A picnic lunch in the park will fuel you up for the afternoon safari. At sunset, you'll arrive at your lodge — ready for the next adventure!

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

Today, your journey takes you to the world-famous Serengeti! The drive across the Highlands already offers spectacular bird's-eye views of the Ngorongoro Crater. And then — as far as the eye can see — the endless plains of the Serengeti stretch out before you. A truly breathtaking moment!

Welcome to the pulse of the wilderness! The name "Serengeti" comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plains." This 18,000 km² ecosystem is home to over two million large mammals — including more than one million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and Thomson's gazelles. This abundance of prey attracts lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Smaller residents such as rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, and nearly 500 bird species also call the Serengeti home. Overnight stay in a tented camp beneath the African night sky.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti

A full day in the heart of the wilderness! After breakfast, you'll set out on your morning game drive through the Serengeti. A special highlight of your 5-day Tanzania safari awaits you: a visit to the legendary Oldupai Gorge.

Here, in the "Cradle of Mankind," Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made their groundbreaking discovery of the oldest human ancestors. After a brief talk on the archaeological excavations and the geology of the gorge, you'll visit the small museum — a place that will leave you humbled! After lunch, the safari continues across the vast savannas. In the evening, you'll arrive at Seronera Campsite — the "Big Cat Capital" of Africa, promising spectacular wildlife sightings year-round.

Day 4: Serengeti – Maasai Culture – Ngorongoro Highlands

A day full of contrasts! You'll start with an exciting game drive through the Serengeti — majestic lions dozing in the tall grass, herds of wildebeest crossing the plains. The landscape pulses with life!

On your way to the Ngorongoro Highlands, you'll immerse yourself in vibrant Maasai culture. Experience traditional activities up close: learn about their herding practices, try your hand at spear-throwing, or admire the intricate beadwork the Maasai are world-renowned for. The day comes to a close with cultural exchange — stories, songs, and dances fill the air, connecting you deeply with the way of life of this fascinating people. Overnight stay at a tented lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands, offering breathtaking views.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

The crowning finale of your 5-day Tanzania safari! After breakfast, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater — one of the largest intact calderas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Feel as though you've stepped into Noah's Ark! The crater floor is home to an incredible concentration of African wildlife — the highest of the entire continent. Lions, elephants, and, with a bit of luck, the elusive black rhino await you. Enjoy extended game drives through this unique ecosystem.

As the sun paints the sky in shades of orange and pink, your journey back to Arusha begins. From there, you'll continue on to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home. With your heart full of memories of Tanzania's wild beauty, your unforgettable safari

Customer testimonial

“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories

Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.

Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
