Is the migration guaranteed in 6 days?

There are never any guarantees in nature. But in 6 days, we’ll have enough time to head to even more remote areas (such as the northern Serengeti or Ndutu), where the herds are statistically likely to be.

How strenuous is an 6-day safari?

It’s an active vacation. You’ll spend a lot of time in the car (“African massage” on gravel roads) and get up early (often at 6:00 a.m.). However, many guests see this as a positive kind of “adventure stress.” Lodges offer relaxation in the evening.

Is there a shorter way to get to the safari?

Yes, for 4 or 5 days. But for trips shorter than 5 days, we often recommend skipping the Serengeti or booking a fly-in tour, since otherwise the ratio of travel time to game-viewing time becomes unfavorable.

Are day trips suitable for children?

Yes, for children ages 6–8. For a 6-day trip, we recommend lodges with a pool and, if desired, private game drives so families can take breaks as needed. Camping is more exciting for older children and teenagers.
