General Terms and Conditions

Version: 5 September 2026

I. Provider, scope and language

These general terms and conditions govern the use of the website safari-tansania.com and the intermediation of individually requested safari travel services by World Wild Traveling UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kolonnenstr. 8, 10827 Berlin, email: info@safari-tansania.com.

Safari Tansania is a brand of World Wild Traveling UG (haftungsbeschränkt). These terms apply exclusively to consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Only the German version is authoritative.

II. Role of Safari Tansania

Safari Tansania acts exclusively as an intermediary. We do not organise our own safaris, do not run any trips ourselves, owe no travel service of our own and are neither a tour operator nor a carrier, accommodation provider or other service provider on the ground.

The safari travel services arranged are provided in each case by a single tour operator based in Tanzania. The contract for the respective travel service is made exclusively between you and the respective tour operator. Where payments are designated accordingly, we collect them in the name and for the account of the respective tour operator.

Safari Tansania does not arrange flights. International and domestic flights are not part of the services arranged and must be booked by you yourself. Support in choosing suitable flight connections does not constitute flight intermediation.

III. Enquiry and non-binding offer

You can request a safari trip via our website, by email, by telephone, via WhatsApp or via other communication channels provided. On the basis of your details we prepare an individual offer.

All offers are subject to change and non-binding until the final availability check, as accommodation and other services cannot be firmly promised before final confirmation by the respective tour operator.

Together with the non-binding offer you receive the terms of the respective tour operator and the associated information about the provider; from this point on, the tour operator in question is disclosed to you. Your acceptance of the non-binding offer initially constitutes merely a binding booking request.

IV. Availability check and conclusion of contract

After receipt of your declaration of acceptance, we check availability with the respective tour operator. If the requested trip is available, you receive a request for payment. The full travel price is generally payable within 5 calendar days of receipt of the payment request, unless a different deadline is communicated in the individual case.

A shorter payment deadline may apply in particular where the trip starts at short notice, where accommodation can only be reserved to a limited extent or where deadlines are set by the tour operator. For trips starting within 28 calendar days, payment may be demanded with immediate effect. Partial payments are generally not sufficient unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

A binding booking only comes about once availability has been confirmed, the full travel price has been received in the named account on time and Safari Tansania has confirmed the booking in the name of the respective tour operator. Until payment has been received in full, there is no binding booking. Payment to Safari Tansania discharges your debt towards the tour operator insofar as it is accepted in the operator's name and for the operator's account.

Should it exceptionally turn out after receipt of payment that individual services are no longer available, we will inform you without delay about alternatives and any price differences. If the alternative is cheaper, the difference is refunded; if it is more expensive, the difference is payable if you choose the alternative. If no agreement is reached, the amount paid is refunded in full.

V. Prices and payment

The price communicated to you individually is decisive. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, all payments are to be made in euros. We currently accept payments exclusively by bank transfer to the account named in the payment request.

The payment request contains the essential details of the requested trip, in particular the travel period, the services envisaged, accommodation, the parks visited and the respective tour operator.

VI. Services not owed

Not part of the services arranged are in particular international and domestic flights, visas, passports and other travel documents, vaccinations and health care, travel insurance and other services not expressly listed in the offer.

You are responsible for checking and fulfilling the requirements for entry, health, travel documents, insurance and other personal travel requirements in good time. We do not generally collect passport copies or passport data; where required, they are requested directly by the respective tour operator.

VII. Changes and cancellations

Requests for changes or cancellations must be sent exclusively in text form to info@safari-tansania.com. There is no general entitlement to cancellation or refund; such requests are examined exclusively on a case-by-case basis, insofar as legally and practically possible.

Whether and to what extent a partial refund can be made depends in particular on the time of your request, the travel period and destination, costs already incurred and non-refundable, payments already instructed, transaction costs and the costs of repatriating funds. No flat-rate partial refund is promised.

If a cancellation request is received 28 calendar days or less before the agreed start of the trip, a refund is excluded. Insofar as the tour operator agrees to a refund in special cases, it can be processed via Safari Tansania.

Changes or cancellations by the tour operator, in particular due to force majeure, official measures, safety reasons or weather conditions, are governed by the terms of the respective tour operator. We will inform you as soon as such information is available.

VIII. Duties to cooperate

You are obliged to provide all details given at the enquiry, offer acceptance and booking stages completely and correctly and to check the documents sent to you – in particular offers, payment requests, booking confirmations and tour operator documents – without delay for correctness and completeness.

You must ensure that the email address and telephone number you have provided are correct and that messages from Safari Tansania can be received.

IX. Liability

Safari Tansania is not liable for the proper performance of the travel services arranged. The respective tour operator is solely responsible for the performance, quality, safety and availability of the services provided on the ground.

We are not liable for service disruptions or for personal injury, damage to property or financial loss in connection with the services provided by the tour operator, unless the damage is based on a breach of our own duties within the scope of the intermediation.

For breaches of our own duties we are liable without limitation in cases of intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraudulent intent, expressly assumed guarantees and in cases of mandatory statutory liability. In the event of slightly negligent breach of essential contractual duties, we are liable only for the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Essential contractual duties are those whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the intermediation relationship possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely.

X. No right of withdrawal

The services arranged are exclusively date-bound safari and leisure travel services. For contracts for such services there is no right of withdrawal pursuant to Section 312g(2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB).

XI. Data protection

Information on the processing of personal data can be found in the separate privacy policy on our website.

XII. Consumer dispute resolution

Safari Tansania is neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

XIII. Final provisions

German law applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected, insofar as applicable.

Legally relevant declarations and notifications in connection with the intermediation should be made at least in text form. Should individual provisions be or become invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
