“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha
Karibu Tanzania! After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by our team. The scent of Africa fills the air as you're transferred to your accommodation in Arusha ...you'll be brought to.
This first day is entirely yours — relax after your journey and take your time to acclimatize. Whether you enjoy the amenities of your lodge, take a stroll through the lively town of Arusha, or simply unwind, Day 1 is deliberately designed for rest. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you at your lodge. Sleep well — the exciting adventures of your safari begin tomorrow!

Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Today, your grand safari adventure begins! The drive to the Serengeti is an experience in itself. You'll pass through the Crater Highlands and stop at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater for a first spectacular bird's-eye view.
On the way, you'll visit the famous Olduvai Gorge — the site where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey made their groundbreaking discovery of the earliest human ancestors. After a brief talk and a visit to the museum, the journey continues. Then comes the magical moment: you crest the ridge, and the endless Serengeti stretches out before you as far as the eye can see! "Serengeti" means "endless plains" in the Maasai language — and that's exactly what you'll experience. In the afternoon, you'll set out on your first game drive through this 18,000 km² paradise.

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti
Welcome to the pulse of the wild! An entire day of your 5-day safari is dedicated to the legendary Serengeti — home to more than two million large mammals. Over one million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and Thomson's gazelles roam these plains.
On extended game drives, you'll search for the great predators: lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn in by the incredible abundance of prey. But the smaller residents are just as fascinating — rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, honey badgers, jackals, and baboons. With nearly 500 bird species, the Serengeti is also a paradise for birdwatchers! Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration — one of the most spectacular natural spectacles on Earth. From sunrise to the breathtaking starry night sky, you'll become one with the rhythm of this untouched wilderness.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands
Early in the morning, you'll leave the Serengeti and travel to the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. This region is a place where nature and human history are deeply intertwined — an experience filled with tranquility and meaning.
Explore landscapes shaped by ancient forces and discover how local communities have lived in harmony with nature for generations. The Highlands offer breathtaking panoramas and the chance to observe wildlife amid lush green surroundings. In the evening, you'll arrive at Angata Ngorongoro Camp — a peaceful lodge nestled within this unique landscape. Enjoy the perfect balance of comfort and connection to nature beneath the African night sky.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Return Journey to Arusha
The crowning finale of the 5-day safari! Very early in the morning, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater begins ...one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on Earth. You'll feel as though you've stepped into Noah's Ark, surrounded by an incredible diversity of wildlife!
In this UNESCO World Heritage Site, an impressive diversity of species thrives: lions, elephants, the rare black rhino, and countless bird species. At the famous Hippo Pool, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch amid this spectacular backdrop — hippos and flamingos included. After one final game drive across the crater floor, you'll climb the steep crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha. With your heart full of unforgettable memories, you'll be taken to your hotel or the airport. Kwaheri — goodbye!

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
