“Everything perfect – great trip and great price

Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Safari in Tarangire National Park

Karibu Tanzania! After breakfast, your guide will pick you up and your 5-day safari in Tanzania begins. After a drive of around three hours, you'll reach Tarangire National Park – a paradise that's spectacular in every season.

This park is elephant country! Along the Tarangire River, the park's lifeline, huge herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, eland and oryx gather. Majestic baobab trees define the landscape and create an unforgettable backdrop. On your first game drive, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife before the day draws to a close with a spectacular African sunset.

Day 2: Drive to Ndutu – Gateway to the Migration

At 8:00 a.m., the great adventure begins! From Karatu, you'll drive into the legendary Ndutu region. Within just a few minutes you'll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area – watch as the landscape transforms dramatically from wooded hills into endless green grass plains.

Welcome to Ndutu – the beating heart of the Great Migration! These sweeping plains form the route for over two million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras, antelope and gazelles. Between December and April, these fertile plains turn into a vast nursery. Watch newborn wildebeest calves take their first wobbly steps – and the predators drawn in by the abundance. A natural spectacle of the very highest order!

Day 3: Ndutu to the Central Serengeti (Seronera)

Your day starts early with a morning game drive in Ndutu. During the migration season, this region is especially rewarding – endless herds of wildebeest stretch across the plains while lions and cheetahs are out hunting.

After a picnic lunch in the wilderness, your journey continues into the Central Serengeti. The name comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plains" – and that's exactly what awaits you! The Seronera region is considered Africa's big cat capital. Lions, cheetahs and leopards are spotted here regularly, often resting on the iconic kopjes or hunting in the tall grass. Elephants, giraffes and almost 500 bird species make this day of your 5-day safari in Tanzania truly unforgettable.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands

Make the most of the early morning with one last game drive in the Serengeti! The Seronera region delivers fantastic sightings – keep an eye out for lions on the rock formations and leopards in the acacia trees. After your picnic lunch, you'll begin the drive towards the Ngorongoro Highlands.

The landscape changes dramatically as you drive through rolling hills, spectacular crater viewpoints and traditional Maasai villages. The cooler highland climate and lush green vegetation offer a refreshing contrast to the open plains of the Serengeti. A day full of scenic beauty that sets the stage for the crowning finale of your safari.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

The highlight of your 5-day safari in Tanzania! After breakfast, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater begins – the "Eighth Wonder of the World." This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on Earth and offers the unique chance to see all of the Big Five in a single day!

Your game drive takes you across the crater floor, where hippos doze in waterholes, pink flamingos blanket Lake Magadi and hyenas roam the grasslands. Keep a special lookout for the rare black rhino! After a picnic lunch in the crater, you'll drive back to Arusha. With a heart full of unforgettable memories, your 5-day Tanzania safari ends at your hotel or the airport.

“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories

Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.

Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
