Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Flight from Arusha to the Serengeti

Welcome to Tanzania! Your 7-day safari in Tanzania begins with a spectacular flight from Arusha straight into the legendary Serengeti. From a bird's-eye view, you'll already see the endless plains below you – a breathtaking start!

On landing, you'll be greeted by your experienced guide, who will take you out on a first afternoon game drive. Already you'll encounter herds of elephants moving through the golden grass and lions waiting for prey in the shade of the acacias. The Serengeti welcomes you with all its magic. As the sun sets over the savannah and the African night sky comes to life, you'll know: your unforgettable safari adventure has begun!

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti

Welcome to the pulse of the wild! This day belongs entirely to the Serengeti and to tracking the great herds of wildebeest and zebra on their annual journey. Your guide knows the best routes and will take you to where the spectacle is happening.

Depending on the season, you'll witness dramatic river crossings, with thousands of animals surging through crocodile-infested waters – or see endless herds stretching all the way to the horizon. The Serengeti's vast plains and varied ecosystems make for ideal conditions to watch lions, cheetahs and leopards on the hunt. From sunrise to a spectacular sunset, you'll fall into step with the rhythm of this one-of-a-kind wilderness.

Day 3: Serengeti – Migration Experience

Today you'll go even deeper into the heart of the migration! Your guide will navigate you to the best vantage points, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

This natural spectacle is one of the most impressive in the world – almost two million animals on the move, shadowed by predators waiting for their chance. Watch nature's drama unfold before your eyes. In the late afternoon, your drive towards the Ngorongoro Highlands begins. The landscape changes dramatically – from golden savannah to green, mist-shrouded heights. A day of contrasts on your 7-day safari in Tanzania!

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands

After a final breakfast in the Central Serengeti, you'll set off on the scenic drive towards Ngorongoro. Along the way, keep an eye out for the migration herds and big cats – every game drive holds new surprises!

At Naabi Hill Gate you'll leave the Serengeti and begin the climb into the Ngorongoro Highlands. The landscape changes spectacularly: cooler temperatures, deep green vegetation and mystical mist greet you. In the afternoon, you'll reach the crater rim with its breathtaking view. Look down into the vast caldera – a lost paradise regarded as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Enjoy the sunset and the anticipation of tomorrow's highlight.

Day 5: Safari in the Ngorongoro Crater

Today the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater begins – an absolute highlight of your 7-day safari in Tanzania! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa on its fertile crater floor.

It's like stepping into Noah's Ark! The mighty crater walls enclose an ecosystem full of wonders: large buffalo herds, lion prides, wildebeest and – with a little luck – the elusive black rhino. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the few places in the world where you can see this critically endangered animal. After an unforgettable day, you'll continue on to the Mto wa Mbu region, where you'll spend a peaceful evening beneath the African stars.

Day 6: Safari in Lake Manyara National Park

A day full of surprises! Lake Manyara National park is famous for its breathtaking landscapes, its rich birdlife and one very special phenomenon: tree-climbing lions.

This compact park offers an astonishing variety of habitats – from lush rainforest and dense acacia woodland to the alkaline lake itself. On your full-day game drive, you'll encounter large elephant herds, giraffes and zebras. Along the lakeshore, thousands of flamingos turn the water pink – an unforgettable sight! With a little luck, you'll spot the famous lions making themselves comfortable in the branches of the trees. A one-of-a-kind experience on your 7-day Tanzania safari!

Day 7: Tarangire National Park and Return to Arusha

The crowning finale of your safari takes you into the land of giants Tarangire National ParkThis park is famous for its huge elephant herds and the majestic, ancient baobab trees that define the landscape.

On your full-day game drive, you'll cross dense woodland and wide grass savannah. Elephants, giraffes, zebras and predators keep you on your toes all day long. The variety of migratory birds also makes Tarangire a paradise for bird lovers. In the late afternoon it's time to say goodbye – your transfer takes you back to Arusha. With a heart full of memories from your unforgettable 7-day safari in Tanzania, you'll arrive at your destination in the evening.

“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories

Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.

Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
