Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be given a warm welcome by your personal guide. The scent of Africa hangs in the air as you're driven to your hotel. Enjoy the authentic African atmosphere and get in the mood for the adventure ahead. In the evening, you'll receive a detailed briefing on your 15-day trip to Tanzania.
Day 2: Relaxation day in Arusha
Recover from your flight and enjoy first-class service. Fancy something more? In and around Arusha , plenty of exciting excursions await. Sitting at the foot of Mount Meru, the city is the gateway to northern Tanzania's national parks and the perfect prelude to the safari days ahead.
Day 3: Safari in Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park lies just a few kilometres from the city and surprises with its distinctive variety. Sightings of the rare black-and-white colobus monkeys are all but guaranteed here – as are those of the beautiful silvery-cheeked hornbill. With a little luck, you may even spot the rare white baboon! The landscape is defined by a lake, several craters, waterfalls, mountains and seemingly endless grass plains.
Day 4: Free time or the Mount Meru waterfalls
Relaxation or adventure – the choice is yours! Unwind by the pool or explore the surroundings. Our tip: an excursion to the Mount Meru waterfalls! After a short walk, the waterfall invites you to cool off. Enjoy your lunch surrounded by tropical nature, accompanied by the song of exotic birds. On the way back, keep an eye out for colobus monkeys and the distinctive silvery-cheeked hornbill.
Day 5: Safari in Tarangire National Park
The Tarangire National Park is famous for its huge elephant herds – up to 300 animals move through the savannah together here. Only the majestic baobab trees are more impressive still: they can live for several hundred years and serve the elephants as a source of water during the dry season. The Tarangire River winds its way through the park and, as the only water source in the dry season, draws countless animals.
Days 6–8: Safari in Serengeti National Park
The next three days belong to the world-famous Serengeti – one of the most legendary safari destinations on Earth. Serengeti National Park is best known for the Great Migration, in which millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the endless plains each year.
Its impressive predator population will leave you amazed: more than 4,000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1,000 leopards, 3,500 hyenas and hundreds of rare African wild dogs call the Serengeti home. From sunrise over the savannah to the breathtaking canopy of stars at night, you'll fall into step with the rhythm of nature. Three full days to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site – the centrepiece of any safari in Tanzania!
Day 9: Safari in the Ngorongoro Crater
Today an absolute highlight awaits – the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater beginsThis UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, was formed two million years ago by an immense volcanic eruption. The crater is 610 metres deep and covers roughly 260 square kilometres.
Thanks to its dense wildlife population of around 25,000 large mammals, the crater offers the best wildlife viewing of any park in Tanzania. Within just a few minutes you'll see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and over 500 bird species. With a little luck, you'll also glimpse the rare black rhino – this is your best chance of seeing all of the Big Five in a single day!
Day 10: Flight to Zanzibar
A day of contrasts! After a final Tanzanian breakfast, you'll fly to the spice island of Zanzibar. There, the salty sea breeze of the Indian Ocean greets you.
In the days ahead, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water and fascinating coral reefs await. In the mood for some culture? Then visit Stone Town and immerse yourself in the history of Zanzibar's oldest quarter. Foodies can explore a spice plantation and discover the many flavours of the local cuisine.
Days 11–13: Beach holiday in Zanzibar
The crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and the white, palm-fringed beaches are almost too good to be true. Enjoy a coconut with your feet in the sand, take a refreshing swim and treat yourself to the delicious local cuisine.

Days 14–15: Return flight from Zanzibar (ZNZ)
The final day of your 15-day trip to Tanzania has arrived. Depending on your departure time, you can still relax on the beach or explore the island one last time. With a heart full of memories, your transfer will take you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) in good time.
