“Everything perfect – great trip and great price

Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your 13-day safari in Tanzania begins with your arrival in Arusha, the gateway to Northern Tanzania's national parks. You will receive a warm welcome and be transported to the USA River region, where you can relax after your flight. In the evening, a detailed briefing awaits you, where your guide will prepare you for the adventures to come.

Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park

The Land of Giants awaits you! Your approximately three-hour journey into the Tarangire National Park, which boasts the highest density of wildlife in all of Tanzania after the Serengeti. The park covers 2,800 km² and is named after the Tarangire River, which serves as a lifeline attracting countless animals.

Especially during the dry season, zebras, buffalo, impalas, gazelles, and various antelope species gather here by the river – followed by predators on the hunt. The absolute highlight: the breathtaking elephant herds moving through the savanna. These gentle giants shape the character of the park like no others. Also marvel at the majestic baobab trees – the „trees of life“ – whose gnarled branches reach for the sky and have endured for generations.

Day 3-5: Safari in the Central Serengeti

Three full days are dedicated to the world-famous Serengeti – a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. This breathtaking national park covers approximately 14,763 square kilometers and is the centerpiece of your safari journey.

The Central Serengeti is nearly treeless and a true mecca for wildlife viewing! Reptiles, amphibians, over 500 bird species, and huge herds of wildebeest and zebras await you. This is where the legendary Great Migration takes place, with over 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles migrating through the savanna in search of fresh grass. The impressive predator population, with over 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, and 3,500 hyenas, makes the Serengeti a paradise for animal lovers.

Day 6-7: Safari in the Ngorongoro Region

The Ngorongoro Crater begins is the world's largest intact, unflooded volcanic caldera – formed about 2.5 million years ago by the collapse of a giant volcano. With an area of about 260 square kilometers and a depth of 610 meters, it is home to around 25,000 large mammals.

Africa's highest predator density offers excellent chances to spot all of the Big Five in a single day – including the rare black rhinoceros. Within minutes, you'll discover wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species.

But the region offers more: visit the Olduvai Gorge, where significant paleoanthropological discoveries demonstrate human evolution – a reason why the area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and an additional World Cultural Heritage Site in 2010.

Days 8-13: Beach Holiday in Jambiani, Zanzibar

The last six days of your safari are dedicated to pure relaxation. After the exciting safari experiences, you will fly to the spice island of Zanzibar.

Jambiani is located on the southeast coast of Unguja Island and enchants with a beautiful, wide beach, fine sand, and turquoise water. The name translates to „at the place of the knife“ – according to a legend, the villagers once found a knife with a rounded blade in the sand.

Along the coast, you'll find numerous seaweed farms, and you can easily interact with the locals – participate in Swahili cooking classes or visit local schools. For active vacationers, Jambiani offers excellent opportunities for kitesurfing.

“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories

Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.

Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
