Days 1–2: Arrival in Arusha

Day 3-4: Safari in the Ngorongoro Highlands
After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be given a warm welcome and taken to your hotel. The first two days are for settling in and preparing for your big adventure. Enjoy the view of majestic Mount Meru in the distance and recover from your journey. In the evening, you'll receive a detailed briefing on your upcoming 14-day trip to Tanzania. Use the time to stroll through the lively city of Arusha – the gateway to Tanzania's northern national parks.
Days 5–7: Wildebeest calving in the Ndutu area
The Ndutu area, lying between the southern Serengeti and northwestern Ngorongoro, is the stage from December to April for one of the greatest natural wonders on Earth: the wildebeest calving. Millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles gather on the mineral-rich short-grass plains to give birth to their young. Up to 8,000 wildebeest calves are born every day!
Naturally, this spectacle draws the predators too – Ndutu offers first-class opportunities to watch lions and cheetahs on the hunt. One particular advantage: off-road game drives are permitted in the Ndutu area, so you can get even closer to the action. In total, six cat species live here year-round: African wildcat, caracal, serval, cheetah, leopard and lion!
Day 8-9: Safari in Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti, whose name comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plain," has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 and is home to the largest concentration of mammals in the world.
On extended game drives through the Central Serengeti, you'll experience the seemingly endless horizons and breathtaking wildlife. Cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostriches, warthogs and countless bird species are all waiting to be discovered.
Days 10–13: Beach Holiday in Zanzibar
After your exhilarating safari adventure, you'll fly in just one hour from the Serengeti to the paradise spice island of Zanzibar. Barefoot in paradise! The next four days are given over to pure relaxation on Zanzibar's turquoise east coast. Feel the white sand between your toes and swim in the crystal-clear Indian Ocean.
Fancy something more? The islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago are famous for their exotic spices – visit a spice plantation and discover turmeric, ginger, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. Day 14: Return flight from Zanzibar
The final day of your 14-day trip to Tanzania has arrived. After breakfast, there's still time to enjoy the last of the sunshine, pick up some final souvenirs or have a fresh juice with a view of the sea. With a heart full of memories, your transfer will take you to Zanzibar International Airport in good time.
