Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Welcome to Africa
Welcome to Tanzania! After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide. The scent of Africa fills the air as you make your way to your hotel in Arusha to be brought.
If you arrive in the morning or early afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the nearby Napuru Falls—a perfect start to your Tanzanian adventure. End the day on a relaxed note and look forward to the journey ahead. Your 10-day safari in Tanzania can begin!
Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, your adventure begins with a drive to the Tarangire National Park – a hidden gem with nine different vegetation zones. This park is the land of giants!
Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees, which dominate the landscape and make the animals beside them look tiny. This is home to the largest concentration of elephants in all of Tanzania! The Tarangire River also attracts lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and a diverse array of birdlife. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch in the heart of the African wilderness. After more game drives through breathtaking landscapes, you’ll head to Karatu, where you’ll relax and wind down for the evening.
Day 3: Through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area into the Serengeti
Today, your journey takes you to the world-famous Serengeti! The drive itself is an experience in itself—you’ll travel through the fertile highlands of Tanzania and the lush rainforests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Keep an eye out for baboons, leopards, and elephants hiding in the dense greenery.
From up here, you'll catch your first breathtaking glimpse of the Ngorongoro Crater, before the landscape dramatically transforms into the endless, golden grassy plains of the Serengeti. Upon arrival, your first game drive will already be waiting for you—welcome to the heart of the wilderness! The Serengeti, with its shimmering lakes, lush marshes, and vast savannas, lies at your feet.
Day 4: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti
A Day in the Heart of the Wilderness! Today’s main event: the chance to witness the legendary Great Migration. Depending on the season and the migration’s progress, you can observe thousands of wildebeests and zebras gathering at the Mara or Grumeti Rivers as they prepare for the dramatic river crossing.
