“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arrival at Usa River
Your 15-day safari in Tanzania begins in the settlement of Usa River, just 14 miles east of Arusha located. Nestled between the Ndurdoto Crater and Arusha National Park, this place offers the perfect introduction to your adventure.
Use the first day to acclimate and explore the surroundings. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and discover the local culture by visiting traditional villages. A special highlight is the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, where you can relax in naturally warm water. Immerse yourself in Tanzania's rich coffee culture and be enchanted by the hospitality of the locals.

Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park
The Tarangire National Park possesses the highest wildlife density in all of Tanzania after the Serengeti and is the perfect start to your safari. The park is famous for its countless elephant herds, which move through the savanna with impressive size and elegance. Especially during the dry season, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, and various antelope species gather at the river of the same name, Tarangire River – followed by predators that are never far away.
Another highlight is the ancient baobab trees, whose gnarled branches reach for the sky. These „trees of life“ have endured for generations and symbolize constancy and eternity. Since all animals roam freely here, you can observe them undisturbed in their natural habitat.

Tag 3: Drive to Karatu near the Ngorongoro Highlands
Today, your journey takes you to Karatu, a lively small town on the edge of the Ngorongoro Massif. This place is an important meeting point for the Maasai, who come for the weekly market.
Wander through the colorful market and marvel at the vibrant stalls of spices, fruits, and vegetables. Here you will also find authentic souvenirs such as paintings, carved woodwork, and colorful fabrics. Karatu is the ideal starting point for exploring the nearby Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 4-6: Safari in the Serengeti (Seronera)
Three full days are dedicated to the world-famous Serengeti – the heart of your 15-day safari in Tanzania. The small village of Seronera lies in the center of the national park and is the perfect starting point for your game drives.
The Serengeti National Park It covers almost 15,000 square kilometers and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. The name comes from the Maasai language – „Siringitu“ means „the endless land.“ The central savanna around Seronera is known for its excellent big cat sightings. Rare leopards and cheetahs roam the area.

Day 7: Return to Arusha
After a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, you'll travel back to Arusha – the safari capital of Tanzania. The town is picturesquely located at the foot of Mount Meru and offers the perfect place to relax after your exciting safari days.
The colonial influence is still visible in the architecture of many buildings. Use the time to immerse yourself in the local culture – visit the charming Tengeru Village or a colorful Maasai market. Another highlight are the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, where you can relax in naturally warm water. Enjoy this transition from the wilderness to the coast!

Tag 8-9: Stone Town - UNESCO World Heritage Site
A day of contrasts! After breakfast, you'll fly from Arusha to Zanzibar. There, the salty sea breeze of the Indian Ocean welcomes you, and the Zanzibar portion of your 15-day safari in Tanzania begins.
Stone Town, the „Stone City,“ has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2000. Its name comes from the buildings made of light coral limestone and mangrove wood. Lose yourself in the labyrinthine alleys, discover bustling bazaars, venerable merchant houses, and impressive mosques. Visit the 17th-century Old Fort, the House of Wonders, and the Sultan's Palace. The architecture reflects the influences of Arab, Indian, and Portuguese traders who once used Zanzibar as an important trading center.

Days 10-15: Beach Vacation in Pwani Mchangani and Departure
Pwani Mchangani is a real insider tip – unlike its neighbors Matemwe and Kiwengwa, this beach has only been developed for tourists in recent years. Instead of large hotels, you'll find small, family-run accommodations here, whose secluded location attracts travelers seeking tranquility. The long, white sandy beach receives less seaweed than further north and is the main attraction. Those looking for parties and bustling streets won't find them here – everyone else can enjoy the peace and authentic atmosphere during long walks on the beach.

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
