Day 1: Arusha and Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning you will start your 4-day safari in Tanzania in Arusha and drive towards Serengeti Nationalpark. Along the way you will pass the rim of the Ngorongoro crater, which will give you a first breathtaking view of the caldera that you will explore at the end of your journey.
At Naabai Kopje, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness, renowned for its fascinating pink-headed lizards. Afterwards, your first game drive begins across the endless plains of the Serengeti. The landscape transforms into golden grasslands dotted with acacia trees, just as you've seen in countless nature documentaries.
Day 2: Central Serengeti and Western Corridor
Today is going to be really exciting! After breakfast, your 4-day Tanzanian safari takes you to the legendary Western Corridor, the heart of the Great Migration. On the way from Seronera, you'll already experience exciting game drives through classic savannah landscapes.
The Western Corridor is a narrow strip of land defined by the seasonal Grumeti River. Here, thousands of wildebeest gather on the riverbanks in June before attempting the perilous crossing. Crocodiles lurk in the water, vultures circle overhead, and the tension is palpable! Even without crossing the river, the energy in the air is electric. Herds of elephants roam the riparian forests, buffalo graze along the banks, and birdwatchers spot kingfishers, storks, and ospreys. A day filled with wilderness drama!
Day 3: Western Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Rim
A final morning in the Serengeti! Enjoy an early morning game drive when the predators are at their most active. Every corner could reveal a hunting scene, a leopard in a tree, or lions resting peacefully. The Western Corridor region offers some of the best photo opportunities thanks to its dramatic landscapes and constant predator-prey interactions.
After a picnic lunch, you will leave the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon reaching the crater rim, you'll be rewarded with a view almost too beautiful to be true, looking down into the vast caldera. Enjoy the sunset over this UNESCO World Heritage Site and the anticipation of tomorrow's highlight of your 4-day safari in Tanzania.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Arusha
The grand finale! After an early breakfast, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Approximately 25,000 large mammals live within its 260 square kilometers, including the highest density of predators in Africa.
Feel like you're on Noah's Ark! Here you have an excellent chance of spotting all of the Big Five in a single day: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and the rare black rhinoceros.
