“Everything perfect – great trip and great price

Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arusha and Serengeti National Park

Your 4-day safari in Tanzania begins with a pick-up in Arusha. The drive takes you through the impressive Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Even here, you'll be treated to spectacular views of the legendary caldera.

We continue in the Serengeti National Park, whose name comes from the Maasai language and means “endless plain”. On your first game drive through the vast grassy plains you will encounter fascinating wildlife: lions, leopards, cheetahs and huge herds of wildebeest and zebras. The Serengeti has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 and is home to over 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards. An exciting start to your safari adventure!

Day 2: Southern Serengeti and Ndutu Region

Welcome to the heart of the Great Migration! Today you will experience the highlight of your 4-day safari in Tanzania: a full-day game drive through the southern Serengeti and the legendary Ndutu region.

The vast plains, with their nutrient-rich volcanic soils and short grasses, offer perfect conditions for wildlife viewing. Here, over 1.5 million wildebeest gather during calving season to give birth to their young. The synchronized birth of hundreds of thousands of calves within a few weeks is a survival strategy of nature. It overwhelms predators and gives the newborns a better chance of survival.

But where new life is born, dangers lurk: lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals are at their most active. Every moment feels like a scene from a nature documentary!

Day 3: Lake Ndutu and the Ngorongoro Crater Rim

The morning begins with an early game drive in the Ndutu region. The alkaline lakes, Ndutu and Masek, offer picturesque scenery and attract a diverse array of birdlife. A unique feature of Ndutu is that off-road driving is permitted! This allows you to get even closer to the wildlife and observe cheetahs hunting or wildebeest mothers with their calves at close range.

This afternoon, your 4-day safari in Tanzania takes you to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the breathtaking view down into the vast caldera, a lost paradise considered one of the Seven Wonders of Africa. The sunset over the crater is pure magic and sets the stage for tomorrow's highlight.

Day 4: Safari in the Ngorongoro Crater and return journey

The grand finale of your 4-day safari in Tanzania! After an early start, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, The largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. With a depth of 610 meters and an area of approximately 260 square kilometers, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to around 25,000 large mammals.

Africa's highest density of predators offers excellent chances of seeing all of the Big Five, including the rare black rhinoceros. Within minutes, you'll see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and, with a bit of luck, the critically endangered black rhino. A picnic at Hippo Pool completes the experience before you leave the crater and are transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure.

Your safari ends with a heart full of memories, but hopefully the pictures of Ndutu will stay with you forever!

“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories

Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.

Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
