“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arusha and Tarangire National Park
Welcome to Tanzania! Your 5-day safari begins in the morning in Arusha. After approximately a 2-3 hour drive in a 4x4 Land Cruiser, you will reach the Tarangire National Park, also known as the land of giants!
This park is famous for its vast elephant herds and the majestic, ancient baobab trees that dominate the landscape. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of the park, attracting countless animals, especially during the dry season. On your full-day game drive, you'll search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a diverse array of birdlife. The iconic baobabs provide a spectacular backdrop for your first safari photos. In the evening, your camp awaits you under the sparkling African stars.

Day 2: Tarangire and Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, your journey takes you to the world-famous Serengeti! The drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an experience in itself. Along the way, you'll pass traditional Maasai villages and, with a bit of luck, spot your first herds of zebras and wildebeest.
Welcome to the heart of the wilderness! The name "Serengeti" comes from the Maasai language and means "endless plains," and today you'll understand why. This afternoon, you'll embark on your first game drive across the vast savannah, home to the "Big Five": lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. The Serengeti is home to over 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards, so your chances of spectacular big cat sightings are excellent! As the sun sets over the savannah, you'll arrive at your camp, nestled in the very heart of the wilderness.

Day 3: Full-day safari in the Serengeti
A full day in a wilderness paradise! This 5-day safari in Tanzania offers you the ultimate Serengeti experience. From sunrise to sunset, you'll explore the endless plains on extended game drives.
The Serengeti is home to cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras. Travel between July and October and witness the legendary Great Migration in the northern Serengeti, one of the greatest natural spectacles on Earth! Watch predators hunt and enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness. The breathtaking starry sky over the Serengeti will make this day unforgettable. You will become one with the rhythm of nature in this UNESCO World Heritage Site!

Day 4: Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater
Early risers are rewarded! A morning game drive offers the best chance to observe predators hunting. After breakfast, your journey takes you to the absolute highlight of this 5-day safari in Tanzania: the... Ngorongoro Crater begins!
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest intact, unflooded volcanic caldera in the world. Approximately 25,000 large mammals live within its 260 square kilometers. Here you have an excellent chance of spotting all of the Big Five in a single day, including the rare black rhinoceros. The animals inhabit a closed ecosystem surrounded by 600-meter-high crater walls.

Day 5: Ngorongoro, Maasai village and back to Arusha
The last day of your 5-day safari in Tanzania holds a special experience in store! After breakfast, you will visit a traditional Maasai village and immerse yourself in the fascinating culture of this proud pastoral people.
Experience traditional dances, learn about the Maasai way of life, and participate in authentic activities: from making a fire to visiting a traditional boma (Maasai village). This cultural encounter transforms your safari into a holistic experience that goes far beyond wildlife viewing. In the afternoon, you will return to Arusha, where your unforgettable journey concludes.

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
