“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your 6-day safari in Tanzania begins with the departure from Arusha towards Tarangire Nationalpark. After a drive of around 2–3 hours, you'll reach the land of giants!
Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant herds – some of the largest populations in East Africa live here. Majestic baobab trees dominate the landscape and create a one-of-a-kind backdrop for your first game drive. Along the Tarangire River, the park's lifeline, lions, giraffes, zebras and countless other animals gather. With a picnic in the middle of the wilderness, you'll savour Africa at its purest. In the evening, your first camping experience awaits beneath a spectacular starlit sky!

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll set off for the legendary Serengeti! The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll already enjoy your first spectacular views of the famous crater.
Welcome to the pulse of the wild! The Serengeti – whose name means "endless plain" in the Maasai language – covers 14,763 square kilometres and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981. Right from your afternoon game drive, you'll have excellent chances of spotting the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo and, with a little luck, rhinos too. The Serengeti is home to over 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards – a true paradise for wildlife lovers! In the evening, you'll set up camp right in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 3: Full-day safari in the Serengeti
A whole day in Africa's most famous national park! From sunrise to sunset, you'll explore the vast plains of the Serengeti on extended game drives.
The Serengeti is home to cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, hippos and countless antelope species. Travel between July and October and you'll witness one of the greatest natural spectacles on Earth: the Great Migration! Over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras cross the plains on their endless search for fresh grass and water. Watch the herds cross the Mara River – an unforgettable experience! A picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness rounds off this spectacular day of your 6-day safari in Tanzania.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
The early morning in the Serengeti belongs to the predators! On a sunrise game drive, you'll see lions and cheetahs on the hunt – a truly magical moment.
After breakfast, your journey continues to Ngorongoro Crater begins, one of the most spectacular places on Earth. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and is home to around 25,000 large mammals in just 260 square kilometres – the highest predator density in Africa! It's like stepping into Noah's Ark as you descend into the crater. Here you have excellent chances of spotting all of the Big Five in a single day, including the rare black rhino. Flamingos on the crater lake, large lion prides and mighty hippos make this a day you'll never forget!

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, your 6-day safari in Tanzania continues on to Lake Manyara Nationalpark. The drive takes just 1–2 hours and leads you through wonderfully varied landscapes.
Lake Manyara is a hidden gem! This picturesque park is famous for its tree-climbing lions – a rare phenomenon seen in only a handful of places worldwide. The alkaline lake attracts great flocks of flamingos that turn the water into a sea of pink. Lush groundwater forests, elephants, hippos, giraffes and over 400 bird species make this park a paradise for nature lovers. Enjoy your final picnic in the wilderness before setting up camp by the lake.

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
