“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Karibu Arusha! After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you'll be given a warm welcome by your safari guide. The scent of Africa hangs in the air as you're driven to your hotel in Arusha.
In the evening, you'll receive a detailed briefing on your upcoming 6-day safari in Tanzania. Your guide will explain what's in store over the coming days – from the spectacular migration to the best photo spots. Use the rest of the day to relax and get in the mood for your big adventure. The wild is calling!

Day 2: Arusha to Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)
Early in the morning, your journey into the wilderness begins! The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll catch your first breathtaking glimpse of the vast caldera from the crater rim. From there, you'll continue on into the sweeping plains of Ndutu in the Southern Serengeti.
Ndutu is the beating heart of the Great Migration! Between November and April, the short, nutrient-rich grasses draw in millions of wildebeest and zebras. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy your first game drive and already see huge herds stretching across the endless plains. An unforgettable start to your 6-day safari in Tanzania!

Day 3: Full-Day Safari in Ndutu – Calving Season
Today belongs entirely to the hotspots of the Great Migration. During the calving season, which peaks in February, thousands of wildebeest calves are born here every day – a natural spectacle without equal.
But where new life emerges, predators are never far behind. Watch as lions, cheetahs and hyenas seize their moment and dramatic hunting scenes unfold. Predator activity is especially high at this time of year! Unlike in the Central Serengeti, off-road driving is permitted here, so you can get even closer to the action. A day full of adrenaline and unforgettable moments!

Day 4: Lake Ndutu and Hidden Valley
Today you'll explore the varied landscapes of Ndutu on morning and afternoon game drives. Flamingos and other water birds gather at Lake Ndutu, while elephants and giraffes graze in the marshlands.
Hidden Valley is a real insider's tip – fewer vehicles, more exclusive wildlife viewing! Follow the movements of the herds and witness the dramatic interactions between predator and prey up close. To round off the day, enjoy a sundowner in the wild as the sun sinks below the savannah. Magical moments on your 6-day safari in Tanzania!

Day 5: Safari in the Ngorongoro Crater
Today, the crowning finale awaits – the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater beginsToday, the crowning finale awaits – the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater! After one last morning game drive in Ndutu, you'll travel to the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to around 25,000 large mammals in just 260 square kilometres.
It's like stepping into Noah's Ark! The crater has the highest predator density in Africa and offers excellent chances of seeing the Big Five – including the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic overlooking this one-of-a-kind landscape before travelling on to Karatu in the evening. An unforgettable highlight of your 6-day safari in Tanzania!

Day 6: Return to Arusha – Departure
The final day of your 6-day safari in Tanzania has arrived. After breakfast, you'll drive back to Arusha. Along the way you have the optional chance to visit an authentic Maasai village and gain an insight into the fascinating culture of these pastoral people. Alternatively, you can visit the Shanga Foundation, which supports local artisans.
With a heart full of memories – the spectacular migration, dramatic predator scenes and the majestic beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater – you'll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Your safari comes to an end, but the memories last forever!

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
