“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! After your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. The scent of Africa is in the air as you head to your hotel in Arusha to be brought.
The rest of the day is all yours. Relax, enjoy the African atmosphere, and get ready for the adventure that awaits you. Tomorrow morning, your 6-day Tanzania safari begins – an unforgettable experience!

Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park
At 9:00 AM, your safari adventure begins! The drive will take you 120 km to the Tarangire National Park – with 2,850 km², a true paradise for animal lovers.
This park is the land of giants! Tarangire is famous for its huge herds of elephants and the majestic, ancient baobab trees that dominate the landscape. On extended game drives, you’ll search for lions, leopards, buffalo, zebras, oryx, and impalas. With over 450 bird species, the park is also a paradise for birdwatchers. After a picnic lunch, you’ll continue your game drive in the afternoon. An unforgettable start to your 6-day safari in Tanzania!

Tag 3: Journey to the Serengeti via Oldupai Gorge
Today, a spectacular drive into the world-famous Serengeti awaits you! The route leads across the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will stop at the crater rim – a first breathtaking view into the vast caldera.
Along the way, you’ll visit the famous Olduvai Gorge, where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the remains of the first upright-walking human. After a brief lecture and a visit to the museum, the journey continues. Then the endless Serengeti opens up before you—„Siringet“ means „endless plains“ in the Maasai language. This 18,000 km² park is home to over two million large animals! In the afternoon, you’ll experience your first game drive in this legendary ecosystem.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti
Welcome to the pulse of the wild! An entire day is dedicated to the Serengeti – the heart of your 6-day Tanzania safari.
On morning and afternoon game drives, you will explore the vast savannas. The Serengeti is home to over a million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and Thomson's gazelles. Large predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas follow this abundance of prey. However, smaller inhabitants such as rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, and baboons will also cross your path. With almost 500 bird species, every moment is a new experience. Optionally, you can experience a hot-air balloon ride over the savanna in the early morning – an unforgettable highlight!

Tag 5: Serengeti – Ng
A day of contrasts! Wake up very early for a morning game drive when the animals are most active. The sunrise over the African savanna is one of the most beautiful experiences you will ever have.
After the game drive and a hearty brunch, your journey leads you to the Ngorongoro - the Eighth Wonder of the World. With walls 600 meters high and a crater floor of 260 km², this caldera is a virtual Noah's Ark. Almost every animal species native to East Africa lives here, including the rare black rhinoceros. The crater's elephants are famous for their massive tusks—a result of the mineral-rich volcanic soil. You'll reach the crater rim just in time for a magical sunset.

Day 6: Safari in the Ngorongoro Crater – Departure
The crowning finale of your 6-day Tanzania safari! Very early in the morning, you descend to the crater floor – one of the most incredible places on Earth.
The Ngorongoro Crater hosts the highest wildlife density on the planet. A river, several swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, forests, and open plains form this unique ecosystem. After extensive game drives, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch at Hippo Lake, watching the mighty hippos. In the afternoon, you'll depart this UNESCO World Heritage site and drive back to Arusha or to the airport. With a heart full of unforgettable memories, your safari in Tanzania comes to an end.

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
