“Everything perfect – great trip and great price
Our safari with Safari Tanzania was unforgettable! Thanks to their collaboration with local providers, they offered us a huge selection of accommodations. While other providers were often hard to reach and had limited options, Safari Tanzania put together a tailor-made tour perfectly suited to our budget and preferences. We saw the Big Five and experienced the Great Migration! Our guide was top-notch, and the organization ran smoothly. Absolutely recommended for a personalized and affordable dream vacation!

Daily Descriptions

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Safari Coordinator will warmly welcome you. The scent of Africa is in the air as you are taken to your lodge at Arusha to be brought.
During a detailed briefing, you'll learn everything about your upcoming 7-day safari in Tanzania. Use this day to acclimatize and enjoy the anticipation of the adventure that lies ahead. Your unforgettable safari experience can begin!

Day 2: Safari in Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari adventure begins! An approximately three-hour drive will take you to the Tarangire National Park – the land of giants.
This park is spectacular in every season! Huge herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, elands, and oryx gather at the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Majestic, ancient baobab trees dominate the landscape, making the animals appear tiny in comparison. Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania's largest concentrations of elephants – a true paradise for wildlife lovers! Keep your camera ready, as unforgettable photo opportunities await you here.

Day 3: Safari in Lake Manyara National Park
Early in the morning, you'll set off for the Lake Manyara National Park. After about a two-hour drive, you will reach this picturesque jewel at the foot of the Great African Rift Valley.
Lake Manyara is famous for a very special phenomenon: tree-climbing lions! Watch these majestic big cats as they make themselves comfortable in the branches of the acacia trees. The alkaline lake is also a paradise for birdwatchers and is home to thousands of flamingos. On your game drives, you’ll encounter zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and warthogs. The dramatic backdrop of sheer cliffs, forest, and the shimmering lake will make this day of your 7-day safari in Tanzania unforgettable.

Day 4: Arrival and Safari in Serengeti National Park
Today, your journey leads you to the world-famous Serengeti – the name means „endless plains“ in the Maasai language. The drive itself is an experience, where you can make your first animal sightings along the way.
Welcome to the world’s most famous wildlife reserve! After you arrive and have a bite to eat, your first game drive in this legendary ecosystem awaits you. The Serengeti spans 18,000 square kilometers and is home to more than two million large mammals. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas roam the golden grasslands in search of prey. The evening is yours—enjoy the spectacular African night sky.

Day 5: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti
A full day in the heart of the wilderness! From sunrise to sunset, you'll explore the Serengeti on extended game drives.
With over a million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles, the Serengeti offers world-class wildlife viewing. Depending on the season, you’ll witness parts of the legendary Great Migration—one of the most spectacular natural spectacles on our planet. But you’ll also cross paths with smaller inhabitants such as rock hyraxes, bat-eared foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, and jackals. With nearly 500 bird species, the Serengeti is also a paradise for birdwatchers. This day of your 7-day safari in Tanzania will leave a lasting impression on you!

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands
Today, we recommend getting up very early for a morning game drive, when the animals are most active. Watching the sun rise over the African savanna is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have!
After brunch, your journey continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area—the „eighth natural wonder of the world.“ The drive across the highlands offers breathtaking panoramic views. You’ll reach the crater rim with its 600-meter-high walls and look down into the vast caldera, which spans over 260 square kilometers. This is home to the largest concentration of wildlife on the entire planet! Enjoy the sunset over this lost paradise—a magical moment.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Safari - Return to Arusha
The crowning finale to your 7-day Tanzania safari! Very early in the morning, you'll descend to the crater floor – one of the most incredible places on Earth.
Feel like you're on Noah's Ark! The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, is home to nearly every animal species in East Africa—including the rare black rhinoceros. The elephants here are famous for their exceptionally large tusks, which are enhanced by the mineral-rich volcanic soil. At Lake Hippo, you’ll enjoy a picnic with spectacular views. After a final game drive, the steep road leads you up out of the crater, and you’ll return to Arusha with your heart full of memories.

Customer testimonial
“Top-organized safari with fantastic memories
Safari Tanzania, as an intermediary, enabled us to have highly individualized planning and saved us the effort of comparing dozens of providers online. They adapted everything to our wishes, connected us with the ideal local team, and offered flexible, prompt support – a relaxed highlight full of lasting memories.
Many safari organizers pushed for a personal call, only to offer a package tour in the end. Safari Tanzania sent us an offer after the first email, which we then minimally adjusted and swapped out one accommodation. This saved my girlfriend and me a lot of effort. Thank you very much!
