Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma

Just 300 metres separate this camp from the boundary of Serengeti National Park. So Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma sits just outside it, in an area under TAWA, the Tanzanian wildlife protection authority, about 15 minutes from the park gate and very close to the Grumeti River. The choice ranges from permanent safari tents to Comfort units under canvas, with a permanent bathroom and views across the plains of the Serengeti; the family option sleeps up to six guests. From the pool you look out over the wilderness, the hot water comes from the sun, and a generator stands by as a backup for the power. Morning and evening the chef lays out a buffet, the bar is right there in the restaurant, and from the upper floor you can even watch wildlife. As soon as it gets dark, the campfire burns. Afterwards a ranger walks you to your tent. Also on the programme are night game drives, balloon rides over the Serengeti and village visits.
