Baghayo Garden Suites

Here the coffee grows right outside your door. Baghayo Garden Suites sit on a coffee farm of five acres, a little over two hectares, near Karatu, halfway between the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Manyara National Park. The family has been looking after this land for three generations. You stay in 14 cottage-style suites, each with a sitting room with fireplace, a veranda and a bedroom with private bathroom; six of them are family suites for up to seven guests. Meals are often taken outside on the large veranda, overlooking the pool and the lower coffee gardens. Some of what ends up on your plate comes from the grounds: fruit trees, herbs, vegetable beds and, of course, the coffee. By day you are shown around the coffee fields, there are guided nature walks, and if you like, you can hike in the forest at Ngorongoro. Either way, you won’t have to look far for your breakfast coffee here.
