Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp

Acacias all around and distant hills beyond: that is the view you wake up to at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp. The camp sits up in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the Elerai River and a few bomas, the Maasai settlements. There are only ten tents, each with its own bathroom and either a king-size bed or two single beds. Breakfast and dinner are served in the main tent. Before dinner, the deck is the place to be: sundowner in hand, you watch the sun sink behind the hills. Afterwards, everyone gravitates to the campfire. Good to know: as soon as the sun has gone, it gets properly cold up here, so a warm jacket is a must for your luggage. By day the programme includes nature walks, encounters with Maasai culture and, of course, the game drive into Ngorongoro Crater.
