Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort

Mchangamle is a small village on the remote south-western edge of Zanzibar’s main island, around 57 kilometres from Stone Town and the airport. Here Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort stands on a cliff between a nature reserve and the sea, looking out over the Indian Ocean. Palms and fruit trees grow in the grounds, and local craftspeople built the rooms in traditional style, with a mosquito net over every bed. Book one of the honeymoon or luxury villas and you get a private pool and a spa pavilion as well, while all guests can use the main pool, a hydrotherapy pool and the jungle spa with massages and beauty treatments. At the Sunset Beach Club there is a beach bar and a lobster restaurant, and fresh fruit juices too. Diving, kitesurfing and deep-sea fishing are popular in the area, and on land there is a small gym and bicycles, should you dare to take on the bumpy roads.
