Fun Beach Hotel

Between Paje and Jambiani, the Fun Beach Hotel sits right on the beach on Zanzibar, and the name is meant quite seriously. There are three pools, a spa and a games room with billiards, table tennis and table football, plus a library corner. Guests stay in rooms and bungalows around the pools, each with air conditioning and its own veranda. The two beach suites are closest to the sea and have their own plunge pool. The restaurant is open from morning until late in the evening, the cuisine ranges from international to Indian to Arabic, and the fish comes from local fishermen. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are cooked on request. In the rear pool, small islands with seating await, so you enjoy your drink right there in the water. Our tip for a special evening: the private candlelit dinner on the beach. By the way, the hotel shares its beach area, coconut palms and all, with an old baobab.
