Hippo Trails Camp

Hippo Trails Camp lies on the lower slope of Banagi Hill in Serengeti National Park, not far from the lively Retima Hippo Pool. The Seronera airstrip is 21 kilometres away. The raised tents are kept simple yet have everything you need: wooden floors with sisal rugs and a private bathroom with flush toilet and shower, hot or cold, running on solar power. At the heart of the camp is a large, raised communal tent with dining room and lounge, plus a fully equipped bar. Outside there is a fire pit, and the programme includes game drives, sundowners, dinner in the bush and stargazing, and a balloon flight can be fitted in too. Please note: water is scarce here. And as a rule, you drink bottled water. The hippos in the nearby Retima Hippo Pool naturally take a more relaxed view of the water situation.
