Kendwa Rocks

A full moon on Kendwa Beach means one thing here: party. Kendwa Rocks holds its full moon parties right on the beach. The other evenings are lively too: every evening at sunset a campfire burns on the beach, Fridays are cinema nights, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the Rocks Lounge Club opens from 22:00. Add to that sunset yoga overlooking the Indian Ocean and beach volleyball tournaments. In between, you sit at the beach bar and gaze out to sea. Rooms range from the standard room, the most affordable category, through coral-stone bungalows in the tropical garden and rooms with Zanzibari antiques, to the pool bungalow with its own sun deck and plunge pool. A word of honesty: if peace and quiet is what you are after following your safari, take a quick look at the lunar calendar before booking. For everyone else, this is a budget-conscious choice with plenty of beach and little boredom.
