Mara Under Canvas

From June to November, and only then, Mara Under Canvas is open. The camp lies deep in the north of the Serengeti, in the Tanzanian corner of the Mara Triangle. Ten spacious safari tents await, each with a double bed, mosquito net and private bathroom with a bucket shower (the name, incidentally, is no accident), washbasin and flush toilet. Families stay in a family tent made of two connected tents, with room for two adults and three children. A campfire burns every evening, there are drinks and snacks at sunset, and in good weather dinner is served under the open sky. You go on game drives with your driver-guide, and a balloon ride can also be arranged during your stay.
