Moonbow Lodge

High up on the escarpment of the Rift Valley, overlooking Lake Manyara National Park, stands Moonbow Lodge, four kilometres from Manyara Airstrip. The spacious rooms have a king-size bed, a private bathroom and furnishings handcrafted in Tanzania. You spend the evening on your terrace or in the garden-view restaurant, where African, American and British dishes are served, also vegetarian, dairy-free or halal. If you want to head out on your own during the day, hire a bicycle or a car, or join a guided cycling tour. Birdwatchers are in exactly the right place here anyway; the only thing we sadly cannot order is the moonbow from the name.
