Nanyukie Lodge

Nanyukie Lodge

Private plunge pool with grassland views

  • Luxury

An hour’s drive east of the Seronera airfield, in the east of Serengeti National Park, Nanyukie Lodge stands on a grassy savannah with rocky outcrops (known as kopjes) and ancient acacias. The 15 suites are spread far apart and have canvas walls, high, cathedral-like tented ceilings and wide wooden decks with a sunken seating area, an outdoor shower and a private plunge pool in the corner. Inside, there is also a freestanding bathtub. In the main building with its lounge and bar, a viewing deck leads to the pool, meals are taken indoors or outdoors, and a dedicated spa tent stands among the trees. The lodge is open all year round, Lemala’s guides accompany you on game drives and walks, and a balloon ride is also possible. Incidentally, in the language of the Maasai, Serengeti means “endless plains”, and from the plunge pool you can check that at your leisure.
