Serengeti Luxury Retreat

There are only four tents at Serengeti Luxury Retreat, which lies in the central Serengeti, around 30 minutes’ drive from the Seronera airstrip. Each tent can be opened up on both sides, so you look out over the savannah in two directions at once, and on your own terrace a telescope and leather chairs are waiting. With the tent wall rolled up, by the way, the shower in the bathroom becomes an outdoor shower (the zebras will hopefully look away discreetly). You are looked after by your own host, a butler and chefs who cook with ingredients from the region and pour good wine to go with it. Twice a day you head out on a game drive, and there are also walking safaris, a balloon ride at sunrise and a bush breakfast with champagne, after which the lounge with its well-stocked bar awaits. For a honeymoon, this is a pretty good address.
