Sidai African Safari Camp-Central Serengeti, camp with bush dinner set-up

Sidai Serengeti Camp

Tented camp overlooking the Orangi River

  • Mid-Range

According to the camp, “Sidai” means “I am well” in the Maasai language, and that’s exactly what it’s all about here. Sidai Serengeti Camp lies in Serengeti National Park, about 35 kilometres from Seronera airstrip towards Ikoma, in the middle of a wildlife corridor. Elephants, buffalo, lions and zebras live here all year round. The tents stand on wooden platforms, each with its own bathroom, hot shower and flush toilet, with an outdoor seating area in front. From there you look out over the Banagi and Nyarusigwa hills and the Orangi River. Meals are on a full-board basis, and on request breakfast or dinner is served out in the bush. Between 17.00 and 18.30 there are drinks as the sun sets behind the hills, and in the evening the campfire burns. The camp has no fence. On walking safaris around the camp, an armed ranger from the national park authority TANAPA comes along.
