The Sightseeing Luxury Tented Lodge stands near Seronera in the central Serengeti. You can book tents for one to three people as well as family tents, each with its own veranda and a bathroom with a hot shower. Floor-to-ceiling mesh windows let you see and hear the Serengeti even from inside, and the lights, by the way, run on solar power. The kitchen serves three meals a day, with four courses in the evening, and for full-day game drives there’s a packed lunch. Game drives set off early in the morning and in the late afternoon in open safari jeeps, and a sunrise balloon flight or a walking safari with armed guides can be planned in as well. In the evening the campfire is lit, and if you can’t face another step after that, the team can be reached around the clock on the phone in your tent (yes, in the tent).
