Tamba Tented Camp

The Seronera visitor centre, the airstrip and the game-drive routes are not far from Tamba Tented Camp, which has its permanent spot in the central Serengeti and is open all year round. The spacious tents stand on raised platforms and have their own bathroom; two of them are family tents, and from the private terrace you look out over the wide plains and the acacia woodland. The main building houses the reception, lounge and bar, and meals are served in the spacious, open dining room. What ends up on the table, by the way, comes from the camp’s own farms, and the kitchen is happy to cater for special dietary requirements. Solar panels supply the electricity, and there is Wi-Fi in the communal area. And if the dust is still clinging to you after the game drive, simply jump into the large pool right by the outdoor deck.
