Tarangire Simba Tented Lodge

Right outside Sangaiwe Gate on the western side of Tarangire National Park lies Tarangire Simba Tented Lodge, with uninterrupted views of Lake Burunge. You stay in 16 classic safari tents on wooden platforms, each with a private bathroom, outdoor shower and private veranda facing the bush. Above them sits a thatched roof, and the furniture is made from African hardwood. The sun supplies the electricity and hot water. After the game drive the pool awaits, afternoon tea is served from 15:30, and the bar lists South African wines. There is a deck for meals outdoors. A special spot is the viewing platform built into an acacia tree: animals by day, stars by night. Elephants, buffalo, ostriches and giraffes, by the way, regularly pass through the grounds.
