Tarangire Tortilis Camp

Tarangire Tortilis Camp

Large tents by four baobabs in Tarangire

  • Luxury

Four mighty baobabs in a row with a wide wetland in front of them: that’s the setting of Tarangire Tortilis Camp in Tarangire National Park. The year-round swamp is not far away, and the Tarangire River supplies the whole park with water. The tents are large, five metres wide and 14 metres long, and have their own bathroom area with shower and flush toilet. At this camp, food is explicitly a priority. In the morning a large buffet awaits with fruit, muesli, cold cuts and cheese, and in the evening dishes such as fish, chicken, pasta, vegetable bakes or salads come to the table. Drinks are available at any time from the bar in the communal tent, which is called the “Watering Hole” here. A watering hole, then, just for two-legged visitors. Besides game drives, the programme includes night drives, walking safaris, balloon flights, bush dinners and stargazing, and the campfire is lit for sundowners.
