Zanzi Resort

Let’s start with the honest part: Zanzi Resort doesn’t have a long sandy beach. It lies on a rocky, coral-fringed stretch of Zanzibar’s quiet west coast, about 40 minutes north of Stone Town. Instead, a wooden jetty leads out over the water, from which you can get straight into the sea when conditions allow. Of the 13 villas, the Ocean Front Villas were completely renovated in 2026 and offer 66 square metres for up to four guests. At 80 square metres, the Luxury Garden Villas are the largest in the resort. The pool is set amid tropical greenery, the spa in the open air on a cliff above the sea. In the restaurant overlooking the water, the kitchen goes by the catch of the day and the season, and the team arranges snorkelling trips and boat tours on request. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and can do without sandcastles, this is just the place.
