Zanzibar Queen Hotel

Matemwe is the name of the beach where the Zanzibar Queen Hotel stands. The standard rooms on the ground floor have a king-size bed and a balcony, one floor up you look out to sea from your balcony, and if you want more space there’s the suite, while couples take the Honeymoon Villa. The restaurant looks out over the water too: sometimes it’s à la carte, sometimes there’s a traditional Swahili buffet or a barbecue night. There’s also a pool, a bar, a spa and a volleyball net, and for yoga there are sessions with a qualified teacher. If you want to dive, you can take a close look at the coral reef, and snorkelling is of course possible too. So after your safari, this is where you swap your binoculars for a diving mask.
