Mto wa Mbu Market Tour

Mto wa Mbu lies between Lake Manyara and the highlands, and half the country comes together at its market: people from many of Tanzania's ethnic groups live in the town. On the market tour you taste your way through fruit stalls and street kitchens with your guide; the area is known for its red bananas. Haggling is part of it, hurrying is not. If you like, add a bike ride of two to three hours, past banana and coffee plantations.
