Zanzibar Jozani Forest Tour

Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park has been Zanzibar's only national park since 2004 and protects one of the island's last near-natural forests. It is famous for the Zanzibar red colobus, a red colobus species found only on Zanzibar; the groups are used to visitors and easy to photograph. On the roughly half-day tour, a ranger leads you through the forest and, depending on the route, along a wooden boardwalk through the mangroves. Depending on your hotel, the drive there takes up to about an hour and a half. Feeding and touching are off limits, however close the monkeys come.
