Serengeti Savannah Camp (Ndutu)
Mobile tented camp for the calving season
From December to March, when the wildebeest calves are born in Ndutu, Serengeti Savannah Camp pitches its tents here. It is a mid-range mobile camp that moves on with the seasons, and during this period it stands between Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The tents stand on wooden platforms and look out over the plains, each with a private bathroom and flush toilet. Showers are bush style: the water for the bucket shower is heated over the fire (it still gets warm, though). The power comes from the sun. The dining tent serves international and local cuisine, and afterwards the campfire crackles. You set off on game drives at dawn and at dusk, in an open off-road vehicle.
